One cannot imagine a dynasty [political order] without a civilization scholars . The holistic approach takes civilization as its unit of study. Accordingly, during the age of the industrial civilization, based on modernity, the territorial and sovereignty-bound state was the prevalent unit of political organization. The moment people come to form communal life and, particularly, the highest form of such life - a civilization - they require a balanced mix of all three. It has been established in philosophy that the one cannot be separated from the other. When these forms of rationality function concomitantly, the end result is a dynamic civilization, as will be shown in the next chapter. Obviously, an extremist group promoting particular, parochial, and exclusive interests can easily adopt any one of these one-sided positions. But it seems to have lost its importance. Polity, as Ibn Khaldun explained, has the same relationship to civilization as form has to matter. Contradictories, however, are incommensurate opposite. scholars happiness is intended pleasure, and the absence of pain; by unhappiness, pain, and the privation of pleasure. Abraham Harold Maslow's much-talked-about concept of a hierarchy of needs suggests that humanity begins with basic physical needs, then moves all the way up to the need for self actualization. Each level of the pyramid depends on the previous level. This form of rationality lies at the heart of Western modernity. scholars no longer makes sense to distinguish high and low politics, although it used to be a truism that issues of security and political instability enjoyed higher priority and belonged to high politics and that economic and social issues sleep aids - ambien lower priority and belonged to low politics.
